Well just a few words to let everyone know that I have had approximatly 300 calls here in my little office at home since the start of this Beryllium trouble. I would like to say thankyou to Peter Robinson for starting the enquiry by asking, 'WHY' did his medical documents have printed on them that he was exposed. A lot of ex sailors from HMAS Supply and other ships that have run me have all asked why wern't they told. Simply put mates thats typical of Pussers eh. After all this time I wonder whether they will ever get it right. I'm only a Dibbie but doing his bit to help all us lost souls in the quagmire of Red Tape.....The Secretary

Hi Tanker73, rang the Telegraph and informed them that Australia had three aircraft carriers in 1955, they seemed surprised. A few days later there was a picture of HMAS Sydney in the Tele, not the carrier, but the Anzac Frigate, so I rang them again. DVA doubted Vengeance was ours, explained that she was formerly RN then RAN before becoming the Brazilian carrier and still around in the UK. Explained also that needle guns where used extensivly in the 50's on Platypus at Watsons Bay and also at Athol Bight with the 'Mothball' Fleet, hopefully they will take notice. I think we have a fight on our hands. Regards, Irish.

Hey Swampy drop me an email and let me know your details as I am collecting as much info on this dam Berylium as possible. There has already been one payout for compensation to an ex CVS21 Melbourne sailor so hopefully more will come soon. Also any details of your time spent aboard Supply so we can add you to our merry band of pirates. I look forward to seeing you one day. Regards: Tanker73

Hi all,
It is sad to see so many of our oppos succumb to a wide variety of illnesses, which must have their roots in our old vessels.
For too long most of, if not all of us were either ill informed or ignorant (I prefer the former) to the various hazards around us.
Having been on Melbourne,Supply and JB,particularly as a lagger, it makes me wonder what little surprises may be around the corner as we age.

Hi Guys,
Munga Murray here, having just re-registered due to change of email address.
I am interested to know what the lastest info is on the Beryllium factor.
For the Moderator: You may wish to remove "Munga" from the register as I have changed from "Munga" to "Munga1".
Thanks
BM
